Thanks to The Sydney Morning Herald for helping to spread awareness for the importance and value of expanding diversity in publishing by publishing Alexandra Alter’s September 2, 2018, article “The Slow Move for Diversity in Romance.” Alter’s work highlights a wide range of authors striving to help diversify our romance genre–Sonali Dev, Alisha Rai, Helen Hoang, Uzma Jalaluddin, Jeannie Lin, Ruby Lang, Courtney Milan, Nalini Singh, Jasmine Guilleroy, and me–as well as Bea and Leah Koch, owners of The Ripped Bodice, a romance-only bookstore in LA.
